Find new music with Tuneglue

The web gets cooler every day. Hypebot says, "Tuneglue maps the links between various artists and genres with data from Last.FM and Amazon. Type in act name and go. Be careful; it's addictive."

He's right. Addictive doesn't do justice to describing the possibilities with a tool like this. Drop in a name of your favorite artist, click on the dot that's rendered to represent them and then click "expand." Hours of fun ensue as you click on one band after the other, reaffriming that what you like matches the other things you like and finding the occasional gem you've missed along the way.

Coolfer adds that Tuneglue comes from EMI, which really adds to my theory that EMI woke up one morning this year and decided that this whole "music fans like the web and unencumbered mp3s" thing actually had some merrit. Please, for the love of everything that is good about music, don't merge with someone EMI; Stay on this path cause, you guys are really making some other labels nervous... I'm absolutely sure of it.

What did we ever do before Last.Fm? Oh, that's right, we read music magazines and listened to our friend's recommendations. Warning, if you planned to get anything done this afternoon, you probably shouldn't click here.
