And Cheap Trick replied, Get in line". Yoko, widow and heir of slain Beatle John Lennon filed suit against EMI and Capitol Records accusing the companies of "intentionally and systematically rendering dishonest and grossly deficient accounting statements," amounting to a $10 Million dollar shortfall. A spokeswoman for EMI refused to talk to MSNBC about the pending litigation but was quoted as saying, "Artists from time to time request audits of their royalty accounts. Sometimes there are differences of opinion, which is understandable given the complex nature of recording contracts."
If ten million bucks is a difference of opinion, I'd really hate to see a full blown argument.

Invoking Lennon, Ono Asks For Healing
NEW YORK -- John Lennon's widow wants the anniversary of the death of her husband to become a day of worldwide healing. In a full-page ad in the New York Times, Yoko Ono urged people to mark December 8 by apologizing to those who have suffered because of violence and war.
Ono asked readers to take responsibility for failing to intervene on behalf of victims around the world. She wrote in a portion of the letter directed to victims: "Know that the physical and mental abuse you have endured will have a lingering effect on our society."
Ono was with her husband when he was killed outside their New York home in 1980.
She said she doesn't know if she's ready to forgive Lennon's killer, Mark Chapman, but said "healing is what is urgently needed now in the world."

Where'd I leave my glasses
Have you seen them anywhere
I'd love to sit and talk with you
But that road don't lead through here
You know I can't see a thing without them
So this is heart to heart
Now where'd I leave my glasses
Where'd I leave my glasses
They're usually right here on my head
You know…you left the light on
On the night stand by our bed
You knew I couldn't see a thing without it
And I hate when we're apart
Now where'd I leave my glasses
Where'd I leave my glasses
I can't see you where you are
I must have dropped them yesterday
When I went a bit too far
You know I can't see a thing without you
This is from my heart
Now where'd I leave my glasses
I see you've found my glasses
And you always understand
I know there’s been some ups and downs
And I've been a foolish man
You know I can't see there without you
So this…is from my heart
Thank You for being my glasses
It’s just my fear of being without you
I don't ever want to see
Thank You for being my glasses
Thank You for being my glasses
